FLINT, MI – The Flint Generals, proud member of the IHL and AA affiliate of the Stanley Cup Champion Detroit Red Wings, strengthened their defensive corps today with the signing of Brett Peterson for the 08-09 season. Peterson has also signed a deal with the Grand Rapids Griffiths of the American Hockey League.
Peterson has spent his entire young professional career in the ECHL and most recently with the Florida Everblades. In two seasons, the Northborough, Ma native notched 12 goals and 25 assists for 37 points and 216 penalty minutes in 137 games. In the 07-08 season, the 5-11, 200 pound left shooting defender played three games for the Albany River Rats of the American Hockey League.
FLINT, MI – Hockey season is just over a month away and the Flint Generals, proud members of the IHL and AA affiliate of the Stanley Cup Champion Detroit Red Wings, want to get their fans in the spirit with a huge open house next Tuesday, Sept. 9th from 5 pm to 9 pm at Perani Arena and Event Center.
The open house features, entertainment, prizes, and fun for the whole family. It will be a chance for Generals’ fans to get up close and personal with the Flint Generals’ players and ask questions to the staff.
Generals to hold National Anthem and Mascot tryouts

FLINT, MI – The Flint Generals, proud members of the IHL and AA affiliate of the Stanley Cup Champion Detroit Red Wings, announced today that they will be holding open auditions for our mascot, General Rally and National Anthem Singers for the 2008-09 season. The Generals will be holding auditions for General Rally on Tuesday, Sept. 16 from 10 am until noon and again from 5 pm to 7 pm at Perani Arena and Event Center.
